Jim Souby is president and
CEO of the Park City Center for Public Policy, a non-profit center for public policy
innovation comprised of both public and private sector leaders. He has spent over 25 years working in state
government and state government associations. From
1990 2003, he served as executive director of the Western Governors Association
which represented Governors from 18 states and 3 Pacific territories.
He previously served as executive
director of the Council of Governors Policy Advisors, a membership association of policy
and planning directors serving the nations governors.
He also served as director of policy development and planning for the
Governor of Alaska, and director of administrative services and economic research for the
State of Alaska Department of Labor. Souby entered public service from the private sector
where he was founder and a managing partner in a geological consulting firm and chief
executive of a recreation company which owned and operated a remote fishing lodge in
western Alaska. |
