Scott Williams

Scott Williams is the chief medical officer for the Mountain Division of the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) known locally as MountainStar Healthcare, a network of eight hospitals as well as several outpatient procedure centers and physician offices serving patients along the I-15 corridor between Payson, UT and Idaho Falls, ID.   After completing his pediatric residency at the University of Utah in 1985, he spent 12 years on the medical school faculty at the University of Utah developing pediatric teaching practices serving inner city, American Indian, and migrant worker populations.  For the next 12 years he held various executive positions at the Utah Department of Health including two years as executive director.  He also served for a year as the vice president for Medical Affairs at HealthInsight, the designated Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Utah and Nevada.
