Vijay Ganju is the project director for the SAMHSA-funded Mental
Health Transformation Grant in Texas. Immediately prior to this position, he was the
director of the SAMHSA-funded Center on Mental Health Quality and Accountability at the
NASMHPD Research Institute, which was responsible for promoting quality and accountability
in state mental health systems by providing support for the development and implementation
of evidence-based practices, performance measurement, and quality improvement processes. He was also the Co-Project Director of the SAMHSA-funded
State Data Infrastructure Coordinating Center.
His work experience includes
responsibilities at state, national and international levels. He has over twenty years
experience with state mental health systems, and has led several national initiatives
related to mental health planning, performance and outcomes measures, data standards and
evidence-based practices. He developed the module on mental health financing and
co-authored the module on mental health quality management for the World Health
Organization. He currently serves on NCQAs Behavioral Health Measurement Advisory
Panel and on the advisory committee for National Technical Assistance Center for Childrens
Mental Health. |
