Bill Shiebler

Bill Shiebler served as the former CEO of the Americas of Deutsche Asset Management.  Prior to that, he was a Senior Managing Director of Putnam Investments, and President and COO of Dean Witter’s Intercapital Division. He is currently active in family investment businesses and serves as the Center’s chairman.

Jim Hodges, Governor of South Carolina, 1999-2003

Jim Hodges served 11 years in the South Carolina House of Representatives where he led the House Judiciary Committee and was elected House Democratic Leader. He became Governor of South Carolina in January 1999, He serves as a co-chair of the Obama for President campaign.

Theodore Roosevelt IV

Theodore Roosevelt IV is Managing Director at Barclays Capital Corporation.  His   business experience has       centered on international finance.  He is active in many international and national organizations, with a specific focus on conservation and the environment.

Jim Geringer, Governor of Wyoming, 1995-2003

Governor Geringer is a past chairman of the Western Governors' Association and the Education Commission of the States. He served on John Glenn's National Commission on Mathematics and Science Teaching for the 21st Century. He is presently Director of Policy for ESRI, a geospatial data systems firm.

Ralph Becker

Ralph Becker was sworn in as Mayor of Salt Lake City in January, 2008.  Prior to being elected Mayor, he was a member of the Utah House of Representatives, from 1997 to 2007.  During that time, Mr. Becker served in leadership for seven years, including five years as the House Democratic Leader.

Ed McSpedon

Ed McSpedon joined HNTB in 1995 as a vice president to head the Los Angeles office.  He is currently an executive vice president and serves as a board member and as a director of corporate development.  He is responsible for strategy management, new ventures and acquisition planning, as well as firm wide communication functions. Prior to joining HNTB, he managed the design and construction of some of the largest US public works projects, including the LA Regional Rail system. 

David Smith

David Smith has been Maricopa County Manager since December 1, 1994.  His career in serving the public sector began in 1971 after serving the country for three years in the US Marine Corps Reserve.  He has been a state or local official for 37 years.  He was chosen by Governing Magazine as a public official of the year in 2001 and The American Society for Public Administration and the National Academy of Public Administration named him the 2008 National Public Service Award winner.  

Richard Lamm, Governor of Colorado, 1975-1987

Richard Lamm is Director of the Center for Public Policy and Contemporary Issues at the University of Denver.  He served as Governor of Colorado from 1975-1987.  He also served in the Colorado Legislature and is a lawyer and CPA. Gov. Lamm speaks throughout the nation on Intergenerational equity and health issues.

Kristen Fletcher

Kristen Fletcher served as Chairman and CEP of ABN AMRO North America Wholesale Client Services (WCS) and the US Country Representative of ABN AMRO Bank NV.  Ms. Fletcher serves on numerous boards internationally, throughout the United States and locally.
