The Park City Center for Public Policy is governed by a Board of Directors who have a comprehensive vision of contemporary issues and understand the scope of information regarding the social repercussions of technology development. The trustees are respected and distinguished industry, academic, and government leaders who bring focus and shape to the Institute's direction.

WILLIAM SHIEBLER
Park City Center Board of Directors

After a career as a Senior Executive in the asset management business, Mr. Shiebler is currently active in a variety of business, community, and charitable organizations. Until January 2007, he was an Advisory Vice Chairman and former CEO of the Americas of Deutsche Asset Management, the asset management arm of Deutsche Bank. Prior to that, he was a Senior Managing Director of Putnam Investments, and President and COO of Dean Witter’s Intercapital Division. He is currently active in family investment businesses; TreeTops Investment LLC and TreeTops Corporation LLC. He is a Director of Oxigene Inc. and Attensity Corp., as well as an advisory board member of several corporations. He was a member of the Presidential Commission on Medicaid, a Trustee of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee, a Trustee of Kean University and is currently Chairman of the Park City Center for Public Policy, and a Trustee of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation, among other charitable and community organizations. Mr. Shiebler is a resident of Park City, UT.

M. ANTHONY BURNS
Chairman Emeritus
Ryder Systems Inc.

M. Anthony Burns is former president and CEO of Ryder Systems, a $7 billion international company headquartered in Miami, Florida. He spent nine years with Mobil Oil before joining Ryder. He currently serves as an outside director for a number of firms.

Chairman and CEO Emerita
ABN AMRO North America Wholesale Client Services (WCS)

Kristen Fletcher served as Chairman and CEO of ABN AMRO North America Wholesale Client Services (WCS) and the US Country Representative of ABN AMRO Bank NV, where she was accountable for regulatory relationships and local implementation of ABN AMRO strategy related to large corporate and institutional clients. Ms. Fletcher serves on numerous boards internationally, throughout the United States and locally.



JIM GERINGER, Governor
State of Wyoming, 1995-2003

Governor Geringer is a past chairman of the Western Governors' Association and the Education Commission of the States. He served on John Glenn's National Commission on Mathematics and Science Teaching for the 21st Century. He is presently Director of Policy for ESRI, a geospatial data systems firm.



DELL LOY HANSEN, CEO
Wasatch Property Management

Dell Loy Hansen is president and CEO of Wasatch Property Management, a regional real estate firm with assets exceeding $1 billion. Mr. Hansen served as chairman of the Utah Economic and Community Development Board.





JAMES HODGES, Governor
State of South Caroline, 1999-2003

James Hodges was born in Lancaster, South Carolina. He earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of South Carolina in 1979 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from the USC School of Law in 1982, going into private practice as well as serving as Lancaster County Attorney. In 1986, he was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives, serving 11 years, where he led the House Judiciary Committee as chairman from 1992 to 1994 and was elected House Democratic Leader in 1995. He became Governor of South Carolina in January 1999, as the 114th governor of that state.

Geoffrey Hoguet is a managing member of GRH Holdings, LLC. Managing the investment company keeps him active in real estate as well as public and private equity in the U.S. and Europe. He is also active in several organizations utilizing capitalism into Eastern Europe.



BECKY KEARNS
President
Zions Resort Bank

As President of Zions Resort Bank, Becky Kearns manages over 60 employees and $300 million dollars of assets. With over 30 years of experience in the financial service industry, Ms. Kearns is responsible for having built a new division of Zions Bank, Resort Banking. Ms. Kearns is highly involved in the Park City community, including serving on numerous nonprofit boards.



ARTHUR LAFFER
Founder and Chairman
Laffer Associates

Arthur Laffer is founder and chairman of Laffer Associates, an economic research and consulting firm that provides investment-research services to institutional asset managers. Dr. Laffer was a member of President Reagan's Economic Policy Advisory Board for both of his two terms (1981-1989).



JOHN PRICE
Former Ambassador
Republic of Mauritius, Republic of Seychelles and the Union of the Comoros

Ambassador Price was Chairman and CEO of JP Realty, Inc., a publicly traded New York Stock Exchange Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, and a former director and member of the Executive Committee of Alta Industries LTD. Mr. Price has also served as a member of the board of trustees of the University of Utah from 1992 to 1999 and management committee and board of trustees of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
